Beauty and aesthetics are not the same thing,
they may be linked sometimes,
but they are not the same.
Being attractive is not enough,
being beautiful is way deeper.
Beauty is an expression of joy,
beauty is a form of art.
I asked some people to sum up their own idea of beauty in one word,
and some answers really impressed me.
A deceiving essence,
a kaleidoscope of feelings,
a bud in a desert of loneliness,
a picture,
pathos and emotion,
light and nature,
harmony and balance,
respect and justice,
discovery and curiosity,
colors and brilliance,
food for soul,
kindness and grace,
the awakening of senses,
rhythm,
confidence and determination,
diversity,
purity,
personality,
freedom,
concussion and vulnerability,
carpe diem.
I asked them how closely beauty and aesthetics are related, according to their opinion, on a scale of one to ten;
they said five.
Then I asked if the world we live in would answer the same,
they said no,
they said the answer would be ten.
The vision of beauty we have is so philosophical,
the vision society has is so superficial.
I don’t get why it’s like that,
if our minds work so beautifully and are able to generate such deep thoughts,
why do we have to limit ourselves?
Why do we have to judge on face value?
We are the society,
it’s also our fault if the world is superficial,
we don’t do anything to change,
now it’s time.
Dostoevsky once said:”Beauty will save the world”,
and we need to be saved.
So take your daily dose of beauty,
clear your mind,
turn superficiality into personality,
generate relevant ideas,
and use your mind to make things change.
Use your definition of beauty as your life inspiration,
it may save the world!
Sometimes we forget how much impact we could have on this planet.
